SOME buses serving the Andover area will be subject to changes this week due to B3400 closures between Overton and Oakley.

Due to two sets of roadworks on the B3400 between Overton and Worting, buses on Service 76 and the Hatch Warren journeys on the 86 will be subject to diversion.

The closures are between 9am and 4.30pm on Monday 23 to Friday 27 November for works between Berrydown and Ashe Corner, and between 9am and 4.30pm on Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 December for works near to Oakley Hall.

Buses due to use the closed sections before 9am and after 4.30pm will run as normal.

The full list of changes are as follows:

  • Service 76 journeys which start from or continue to Andover will divert non-stop between Overton and Basingstoke Town Centre via the A303 and M3 junction 6. These journeys will not serve stops between Sinclair Drive and Overton cross roads.
  • Service 76 journeys which would normally start from or continue to Whitchurch will operate as normal between Basingstoke and Newfound/Lightsfield. They will not serve stops between Oakley tennis club and Whitchurch.
  • The 09:30 service 86 from Hatch Warren will serve Hatch Warren as far as the bottom of Woodbury Road as normal, but will then divert via the A30 and A303 to resume normal route at Overton. The 14:50 service 86 from Winchester will follow the same diversion in reverse. Passengers from Kempshott Lane or Buckskin are advised to use service 8 to connect with the 86 at Hatch Warren.
