Indecent images
AN ANDOVER man has admitted to attempting to meet a child with the intention of sexual activity.
Alexander Conway, of Colenzo Drive, tried to meet a girl, aged 14, on September 29, last year, in the town.
The 24-year-old appeared at Winchester Crown Court on November 13 where he pleaded guilty to the charge.
He also admitted to attempting to communicate with a child for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification between September 27 and 30, last year.
Conway also pleaded guilty to making indecent images of a child between October 14 and 23, 2019.
He will be sentenced at the same court on December 18.
Grooming a child
A MAN from Andover has pleaded guilty to sexually grooming an underage girl, which was actually a decoy.
Alan Smith, of Collingwood Walk, admitted attempting to meet with a child with the intention of sexual activity.
The offence took place between July 3 and September 8, last year, but according to court records Smith was talking to a decoy.
He appeared at Winchester Crown Court on Friday November 13.
The 40-year-old will be sentenced at the same court on December 18.
