Dear editor,

I have just been watching a Channel 4 News Special on Children Going Hungry in Covid 19 Britain and the John Lewis Christmas Advert on TV.

All our town and rural supermarkets and corner shops including Tesco, Asda, Waitrose, Sainsbury & Lidl have been enjoying record high volume of profits since March this year - especially during the panic Lockdown shopping sprees.

So what I would like to know from all their chief executives, directors and managers is this: what are they are doing (apart from distributing customer voluntary contributions to the needy) to support our local community family, homeless charities and food banks this Christmas and New Year?
