Andover will move into Tier 2 from next Thursday when England's national lockdown ends.

Before lockdown started on Thursday, November 5, Andover and the county of Hampshire was in Tier 1.

Infections in Andover are below average, with 94 infections per 100,000 residents.

In the last seven days, 101 people tested positive for the disease - down from 26 the week previously.

During the last week, one person has passed away from coronavirus in the Test Valley area. This is down from five a week before.

However, hospital admissions in Hampshire are on the rise. In the last seven days, 1,134 people have been admitted with coronavirus.

When lockdown ends next week, Andover will be placed in Tier 2 (High Alert) along with the rest of Hampshire.

In Tier 2, households still won't be able to mix indoors or without people in their support bubbles.

And the hospitality industry will only be able to open for take-aways or sit-in meals.
