GRITTERS will be out and about in Hampshire today to keep the roads safe as temperatures drop.
Vehicles will be busy in northern and central parts of the county from 1pm but council chiefs say no action is required in southern parts of the county.
Hampshire Highways tweeted: "With temperatures dropping close to and below zero tonight with a prolonged hoar frost forecast, our gritters will be out and about very soon as follows."
In a further message to motorists they added: "Conditions will continue to be monitored in to the evening, and we will update you as required."
