A Romsey man has pleaded not guilty to cocaine possession with intent to supply in Andover

Nigel David Matthews, of Woodley Close, was charged with possession of the Class A drug with intent to supply it on July 18, 2019.

The 41-year-old appeared at Winchester Crown Court to enter a not guilty plea on December 23.

Matthews had previously pleaded guilty to cannabis possession on the same date. Sentencing was adjourned to take place following the outcome of the trial for the other offence.

The Recorder of Winchester, Judge Cutler CBE, remanded Matthews on unconditional bail, with a trial date set for July 21.
