An Andover man has been sent for trial after denying harassing a woman.
Thomas George Williams, of Tollhouse Court, is charged with having caused fear of violence by harassment, as well as damaging the phone of the same individual.
The 23-year-old appeared at Winchester Crown Court to enter a not guilty plea on December 23.
He had previously admitted the possession of a machete in Walworth Industrial Estate on November 18 at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court, as well as possession of cannabis. Sentencing for these charges will follow the trial.
The Recorder of Winchester, Judge Cutler CBE, remanded Williams on conditional bail, with a trial date set for July 12.
Under the terms of his bail, Williams will be electronically monitored, with a curfew between 9pm and 6am, as well as being banned from contacting the complainant or living or sleeping anywhere other than his Tollhouse Court address.
