There have been 140 new Covid cases in Andover in the seven days leading to February 15, government data has revealed.

Among this, 57 cases (40.7 per cent) were found in just two areas – Andover London Road & East Anton and Tidworth and Ludgershall.

Although the number of new cases declined from 57 in the previous week, Andover London Road & East Anton saw 29 new cases during the period, highest in the entire Andover region.

Tidworth & Ludgershall saw 28 new cases during the same period, down from 54 in the previous week.

Due to the difference in size of the region, Andover Central and Andover Newbury Road have the highest rolling rate in Andover. The two areas recorded 16 and 15 new cases respectively.

Chilbolton, Clatford & Barton Stacey has the fewest new cases and lowest rolling rate in Andover.

An interactive map on the government website shows just how many people have tested positive for the virus in each area of the county over the seven-day period up to February 15.

Public Health England breaks down the numbers of coronavirus cases into neighbourhoods called 'Middle Super Output Areas' (MSOAs), which are smaller than council wards and based on population rather than geographical area.

The interactive map allows users to type in their postcode and see how many cases were reported in their area and if it has increased or decreased from the week before. The darker the colour on the image, the more positive test results have been recorded.

The map highlights which areas of the nation have three or more confirmed cases of the virus and colour co-coordinates the areas by how many cases they have.
