FIREFIGHTERS from multiple stations were called upon to tackle a fire at a school in Andover on Thursdsay evening (Februar 25).

Crews from Andover, Overton, Sutton Scotney, Salisbury and Eastleigh were called to the scene this evening.

Hampshire fire service tweeted that it was a "small fire" incident, "involving a dishwasher".

A spokesperson later confirmed crews had extinguished the blaze on Floral Way.

They said: "Firefighters from Andover, Sutton Scotney, Eastleigh and Salisbury were mobilised at 18:13 last night to a school on Floral Way, Andover.

"There was a fire in a dishwasher in a ground-floor staff room.

"The fire was extinguished using two breathing apparatus, two jets and a ventilation fan, and the stop message came in at 19:15."
