TEN people have been reported for summons after a birthday party in Southampton.
On Monday, at around 4.30am, police were called to reports of a party at an address on Southampton High Street.
Upon arrival, presents were being exchanged and the party was broken up.
Ten people have now been reported for summons in relation to £200 fixed penalty notices for breaching Covid-19 regulations.
A police spokesperson said: "It’s incidents like this that place increased and unnecessary pressure on the NHS.
"While a roadmap to exiting this period of national restrictions has been announced by the Government, it is important to remember that the current Health Protection Regulations are still in place until the restrictions are lifted.
"Anyone who does not follow the regulations faces enforcement action."
