Police in Ludgershall have asked for information following a masked man frightening members of the public.

A man in a skull mask and dressed in black was lurking in a garden in McEvoy gardens in the south of the town. A female resident found them staring into her living room window at around 10:30pm on Monday, April 5, causing her to run inside and call the police.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “At around 10.50pm last night (April 5) we received a report from a member of the public who had seen a man in her garden in Ludgershall.

“Although it was reported to us at that time, it is believed to have happened about 20 minutes earlier.

“Officers attended and carried out a search of the area but the suspect was not located.

“The suspect, who was seen in the McEvoy Gardens area of Ludgershall, was believed to be wearing a mask and gloves.

“Nobody was injured and no crimes have been reported, but the woman was left shaken by what she saw.
