A NEW cafe threw open its doors in Salisbury over the weekend.

Situated in the old Compleat Artist building on Crane Street, The Salisbury Orangery opened on Saturday (April 10).

Is it a sister store of The Winchester Orangery, on The Square, Winchester.

It will be open seven days a week, from 9am to 4pm, serving "takeaway coffee and treats".

Salisbury City councillor Jeremy Nettle posted on Twitter after his visit to the cafe, saying "Former Compleat Artist has reincarnated into a lovely period Salisbury Orangery, a family run business.

"First in line, great coffee too!".

The cafe said it "really felt the love" on Saturday, thanking everyone who came to support them".

Manager Callum Mousley added that he was "pleased to bring our specialty coffee to Salisbury".
