An Andover man has been reported for summons for allegedly "driving erratically" without a license and insurance.

Officers spotted the 19-year-old suspect "driving erratically" in New Street, Andover, according to Hampshire police.

The vehicle was stopped at around 1pm yesterday [April 13] and it was discovered the driver, who is from Andover, only had a provisional license and no insurance.

The vehicle was seized under section 165 of the Road Traffic Act.

The suspect has now been reported for summons "for driving otherwise than in accordance with a license and driving without insurance", Hampshire Constabulary confirmed.
