ROSS Kemp is in the hunt for people from Southampton and Hampshire to take part in a new quiz show.

The Bridge of Lies, which will be hosted by the Bafta-winning presenter, will be air on the BBC One in Spring 2022.

The 57-year-old is calling on “fun and determined” Southampton people have to apply for the new show.

The series will see teams of contestants competing for cash by crossing the studio floor on a bridge made of stepping stones.

Each stepping stone has a different option, and the players must try to get from A to B by stepping on the truths and avoiding the lies in order to cross the floor safely, or risk falling off the bridge and out of the game.

Filming for The Bridge of Lies begins in Glasgow later this year.

Ross rose to prominence in the role of Grant Mitchell in the BBC soap opera EastEnders.

He has since received recognition as a journalist for the Bafta-winning documentary series Ross Kemp on Gangs.

The TV personality said: “It’s fair to say I’ve found myself in some dangerous situations in recent years, so I reckon I’m well prepared for the jeopardy of The Bridge of Lies – but the big question is, are you?

“We’re looking for fun and determined contestants to join us in the studio for this exciting new quiz show.

“There’s even a chance you could head home with the cash jackpot, but we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it – literally.

“This show is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before, and it’s sure to be a once in a lifetime experience for anyone taking part.”

The show’s producers, STV Studios, say The Bridge of Lies promises “high drama and high stakes that will keep contestants on their toes”.

STV Studios are specifically looking for teams of four to get in touch.

“Whether you’re family, friends or colleagues – if you have bags of personality and can think outside of the box, apply now,” a spokeswoman said.
