A MAN in his 60s has sadly died following a fatal incident on the A3057 at Andover yesterday (Wednesday, October 6).

Police were called to the scene at 7.17pm where a three-wheeled black Yamaha motorcycle had left the carriageway.

The 67-year-old driver had been travelling north along Winchester Road towards Andover when he left the carriageway between Norman Court Lane and the A303 after exiting a right-hand bend. He died at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

Officers investigating the incident are now appealing for witnesses, and believe he may have been travelling from King’s Somborne.

PS Chris Thompson, who is leading the investigation, said: “We believe there may have been a lot of motorcycles on the A3057 around the time of the incident.

“We’d like to speak to anyone who saw a three-wheeled motorbike fitting this description that was travelling between King’s Somborne and Andover.”
