A MEETING of an Andover Town Council committee has been postponed, after the family member of a council officer tested positive for Covid-19.
The Policy and Resources Committee was due to meet this evening (Tuesday, November 9) at 6.30pm at The Lights, and discuss matter such as the council's financial plan for 2022/23, and the committee's draft budget for the same year.
Members were also set to discuss the council's paper usage.
However, the website now states that the meeting has been postponed, and that "a revised meeting date will be issued as soon as possible".
Posting to public Facebook group Andover Political Forum earlier today, Cllr Richard Rowles, chair of the committee, added: "We have been informed this morning that a family member of one of the Officers has tested positive for Covid. The Officer in question has also been in contact with another Officer and Members of the Council. Therefore this meeting is postponed."
