Driving offence

AN APPLESHAW woman has been handed a fine after driving a car without insurance in Lancashire last year.

Emma Jordan, of Pippin Grove, pleaded guilty to driving a Volkswagen vehicle along Amounderness Way, Fleetwood, on September 8 2020, when she did not have the relevant insurance in place.

Appearing at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court on November 10 2021, the 36-year-old was sentenced for the offence.

The court heard how the 36-year-old suffers with a variety of health conditions including Asthma, depression, autism and ADHD, and must make a 16-mile round trip to attend work at Audi, as well as use a car to help transport her sister to hospital appointments. 

Magistrates’gave her six penalty points, but no disqualification. She must also pay a fine of £200, surcharge of £34 and costs of £85.

Drink driving

A TIDWORTH man has been banned from driving for 18 months after drink driving in the town.

Orest Igor Zubalski, of Forest Court, appeared at Wiltshire Magistrates’ Court on November 8 and pleaded guilty to the offence.

The 48-year-old admitted that he was driving a Honda Accord on Ordnance Road in

Tidworth on September 13 2021, when he had 66 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millimetres of breath.

He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 18 months.

He must also pay a fine of £390, victim surcharge of £39 and costs of £85. 

Assault charge

A TIDWORTH man who has admitted to assaulting a woman has been ordered to attend a relationships programme.

Uwate Bogidua, of Assaye Barracks, Tidworth, assaulted the woman by beating her in Morden on February 28.

Appearing at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on November 11, the 31-year-old admitted the charge, changing his plea from a previous denial.

A community order was made that requires him to attend a 30-day Building Better Relationships programme. 

He must also pay a £100 fine, compensation of £200, a surcharge of £95 and costs of £350 - a total of £745.

Police officer assault

A MAN has admitted to assaulting two emergency workers in Ludgershall last year.

Paul Michael Sharp, of Upper Buckleberry, Reading, assaulted PC Scott on two occasions, as well as escort officer William Hammond on September 15 2020.

Appearing in court on November 8, the 32-year changed his plea from not guilty to guilty.

The case was adjourned for sentencing on December 6.
