ANDOVER residents are being asked for their views on the future “brand” of the town, as work begins to "regenerate" the area ahead of masterplan implementation.

Hemingway Design, who won the contract with Test Valley Borough Council to help create the masterplan and have also been hired to do further work on regeneration activities, are asking people in the town centre for their thoughts on what they would like to see in Andover.

Posting to Facebook earlier this week, TVBC wrote: “Did you know that we were in the process of creating a brand for Andover as a destination?

“This week, HemingwayDesign and CT Consults will be in the town centre asking for your help and opinions to gather evidence. If you see them, why not say hello and spend a couple of minutes for the future of our town.”

The plan were approved at a cabinet meeting in September, and will see the authority invest more than £200k in town centre events over an initial 18-month period.

It will work closely with the BID and other partners to drive up footfall to support businesses and encourage economic recovery post-pandemic, while paving the way for the upcoming town centre regeneration following the adoption of the masterplan in 2020.
