THE British Legion will soon be hosting an all-welcome “veterans Brew, Banjo and Banter” club at the RBL.

The event is set to take place on Sat, December 4, starting at 10am.

Cllr Nick Matthews, armed forces champion for test Valley Borough Council, told the Advertiser: “This is one of many new initiatives derived out of the newly formed Civilan/Military Forum, and been set up by our RBL partners.

“This is a superb opportunity to begin bringing all forces veterans together, among like-minded peers, share experiences and importantly demonstrate that whatever each individual circumstance, they share a unique bond and camaraderie, and will ensure that no veteran need feel lonely or isolated.”

The plan is to hold this club monthly, and furthermore provide a “platform” for veterans who may need or want further support.

The newly formed Civilian/Military Forum (CMF), is further facilitating wellbeing and mental health support for those who require it. This new brew/banjo/banter club will provide further opportunity to expand the support network for all armed forces veterans.
