THE beauty of the New Forest in winter has been captured on camera this week.

Celebrating all things nature and weather, photographers have been busy exploring the wonders of the New Forest and surrounding landscapes, sharing their best shots with the Journal’s camera club.

The gallery above showcases just some of the editorial team’s favourite pictures from the last few days, in particular boasting New Forest wildlife and trees against colourful backdrops, as well as a glowing sky in Boscombe Down.

The competition theme for camera club this month is ‘New Dawn’, nodding towards the new year and the power of sunrise.
