A WINCHESTER man caught driving while under the influence of alcohol has been banned from the roads.
Jiwan Gurung was caught drink driving in a Nissan Qashqai on Harbour Parade in Southampton on December 21.
The 41-year-old was found to have 52 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the legal limit of 35 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he pleaded guilty to drink driving.
Gurung, of Trussell Crescent, Winchester, was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £400.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £40 and court costs of £85.
