Drove at more than 100mph

A MINI driver who drove along the A303 at more than 100mph has had his case adjourned.

Edgars Romanovskis, of Launcelot Close, Andover, drove his car along the A303 at Weyhill at 113mph on February 8 2021, when the limit varied from 50mph to 70mph in different section due to temporary limits.

The 30-year-old pleaded guilty via the single justice procedure in July, and was due to appear at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court on January 12.

However, the case was adjourned to April 6 “due to the situation with the Covid-19 pandemic”.

No insurance

A PICKET Twenty man has been accused of driving a car on the M3 in Basingstoke without relevant license or insurance.

Bartlomiej Zielinski, of Halter Way, allegedly drove a Vauxhall Insignia on the M3 southbound at Basingstoke on December 9 2019 without the required insurance or test certificate.

The 27-year-old was due to appear at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court on January 17, however his case was adjourned due to “the situation with Covid-19”.

It will now be heard at the same court on April 12 2022.

Drunk and disorderly

A LUDGERSHALL man is due to appear in court accused of drunk and disorderly behaviour last month.

Simon Burt, of Abbatt Close, is accused of disorderly behaviour while drunk on Andover Road on December 18.

He is further accused of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour.

The 35-year-old was due to appear at South East Wiltshire Magistrates’ Court on January 14.

However, the case was adjourned to February 4 in the same court.

He has been remanded on unconditional bail.

Driving offence

A LUDGERSHALL man is accused of driving without licence or insurance in the town.

Mark Robert Turver, of Challis Court, allegedly drove a Volkswagen Passat along Biddesden Lane, Ludgershall on January 28 2020 without the relevant documentation in place.

The 51-year-old was due to appear at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court on January 17.

However, “due to the situation regarding Covid-19”, the case was adjourned.

He will now appear at the same court on April 12 2022.
