The Good Festival returns this Sunday (June 26) to celebrate all things good: good living, good times and a very good cause.

Fundraising for an interventional radiology machine that will have a significant impact on the treatment of tumours in lung, liver and kidney cancers in our local NHS hospitals in Hampshire, you won’t want to miss this brilliant day out for the whole family.

The festival, which is back in 2022 under a new name (previously Hampshire Country and Garden Festival) is jam-packed with activities for children of all ages. Party entertainers, Sharky & George will be running fun and games throughout the day, alongside bubble football, laser fun, circus skills, face-painting, henna tattoos, kids yoga – to mention just a few. For the animal lovers, children can meet the festival alpacas, visit the display area to watch sheepdog demonstrations and see birds of prey in flight. A tepee is dedicated to our mini festival-goers with magical interactive story-telling, classes with The Little Yoga Company and soft play fun.

The adults and big kids will be kept busy too – with a surf simulator, yoga classes, oil painting workshops, massage and reflexology. In the Good Living Tent, well-being experts are offering free advice and tips with demonstrations throughout the day. There will be freshly baked cakes from The Shed in Twyford and cooling refreshments from Three Cockerels Bar – alongside locally roasted coffee, a barbeque, hog roast – and many many more delicious options. All to be enjoyed in the festival’s very special location - the gardens of Bere Mill on the River Test.

Dogs are welcome and encouraged. With classes all day long – the family friendly dog show will reward the waggiest of tails and the handsomest of dogs. Local dog trainers will also provide their expertise with dog training as well as a fun scurry.

Tickets can be purchased at goodfestival.co.uk.
