A HGV driver from Andover has been handed a fine after he drove a vehicle which exceeded the permitted weight.

On December 1, 2021, Ron Cyral Eric Levett, of Roman Way, "caused or permitted" his heavy goods vehicle to be above the allowed weight of 18 tonne when travelling on the A415, in Newbridge, Oxfordshire.

At Oxford Magistrates' Court on July 29, the 72-year-old pleaded guilty and was fined £146.

He must also pay costs of £180 and a £34 surcharge, making a total of £360.
