A SERVING Hampshire police officer has denied sexually assaulting a woman.

Liam Porter has been charged following an incident in the village of Clanfield, just north of Portsmouth, on January 18.

The 40-year-old is accused of “intentionally” touching the alleged victim without her consent, Isleworth Crown Court heard on Tuesday afternoon.

The offence is alleged to have happened while the officer was on duty.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge during the five-minute hearing.

Porter, of Sway Road, Lymington, who is suspended from duty, was granted conditional bail and will stand trial on December 4, 2023.
