THERE were major delays for people travelling on the A34 northbound on Monday afternoon (August 15).
Delays of more than 20 minutes and averages speeds of approximately 5mph were reported by AA Traffic News, as one lane was blocked just before the Tufton turn-off.
Drivers were advised to approach with caution, and police confirmed that the incident involved a broken down van which found itself in a "dangerous position".
Hampshire Constabulary officers attended the scene and the van was later recovered.
