WHITCHURCH-based children's drama company, Shoes on Theatre, has recently celebrated staging 13 performances from three different age groups.
The company, established by drama teachers Rachel Foote and Kay Burdon in 2017, has more than 200 students ranging from four to 16-years-old.
These performances are part of an annual tradition where new plays are written and performed by the students at Andover College's 1803 Theatre.
Speaking about the recent shows, Rachel Foote said: "We are so proud of what our students have achieved this year.

"We welcomed 1,109 audience members to our productions, which was wonderful to see.
"A great deal of love and hard work is poured into each and every scene.
"The three weekends were a real pinch-me moment for us, and a true mark of how far we’ve come since our first little workshop in 2017."

Kay Burdon shared the company's origin story: "Twelve years ago Rachel and I met whilst studying drama at the University of Winchester where a mutual passion of drama and teaching sparked an idea for a business.
"Since then, Rachel and I have worked hard to grow our business to provide fun, and engaging sessions for local children."
The company also conducts drama lessons at nearby schools and nurseries and offers themed school holiday workshops.
Celebrating its sixth birthday, Shoes on Theatre has found further recognition, making the final for a Muddy Stiletto Award for Best Children’s Business in Hampshire for the third time, having won it in 2021.
