ANDOVER motorists will have 10 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And four of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure is already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A303, from 8pm April 8 to 6am July 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 both directions M3, junction 9 to Three Maids Hill, carriageway closures for resurfacing work.
And a further nine closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A303, from 8pm June 24 to 6am June 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 eastbound, Thruxton to Hundred Acre, slip road and lane closure's for drainage works.
• A303, from 9.30pm June 25 to 6am June 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 both directions Salisbury to Hundred Acre, slip and lane closures for maintenance works.
• A303, from 8pm June 26 to 6am June 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Overton, slip road and lane closures for maintenance work.
• A303, from 8pm June 27 to 6am June 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 both directions Salisbury road to Picket Twenty, slip road and lane closure for drainage works.
• A303, from 9.30pm July 1 to 6am July 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Long Parish to Winchester Road, slip road and lane closures for maintenance work.
• A303, from 8.30pm July 2 to 6am July 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 eastbound, Parkhouse to Thruxton Circuit, slip road and lane closures for drainage work.
• A303, from 8pm July 4 to 6am July 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Parkhouse to Thruxton, slip road and lane closures for drainage work.
• A34, from 8pm July 8 to 6am July 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 northbound, Bullington, slip and lane closure for maintenance works.
• A303, from 8pm July 8 to 6am July 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 eastbound, Picket Twenty to Barton Stacey, carriageway closure for surveys.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
