The number of cases of coronavirus in Hampshire has increased by 20 in 24 hours.

This brings the total amount of Covid-19 cases to 107 in the region.

Hampshire still has the most amount of cases outside of London. 

As of 9am on Wednesday, 2,626 people had tested positive for the virus in the UK, with 77 of those in Hampshire.

This evening, 3,983 people have tested positive for the virus in the UK.

The news comes after Boris Johnson announced in the press conference this afternoon that cafes, bars and restaurants must close.

The prime minister said: "We are collectively telling cafes, bars and restuarants to close down as soon as they reasonably can and not to open tomorrow.

"We're also telling nightclubs, theatres, gyms and leisure centres to close on the same time scale."

The sitaution will be reviewed "each month".
