A BASINGSTOKE wastewater and sewage company has supplied essential equipment to Nightingale Hospital.

Aldermaston’s Pump Technology Ltd has delivered 21 floor mounted pump systems to Covid-19 patients at the hospital on Thursday, April 9.

The hospital started taking in Covid patients on Easter Sunday, initially with 500 beds for capacity, and increasing to 1500 in the next 12 days.

MD Jonathan Barker said: “The Pump Technology Ltd, team of 16 are still working and are pleased to support important projects such as the Nightingale Hospitals, as well as maintenance companies throughout the UK, during this crisis, helping to keep essential services operating”.

A spokesperson from Pump Technology Ltd said: “These pumps can be simply put on floor level. This is an ideal solution for a temporary building. We are a secret essential service.

“We provide a high-quality commercial wastewater and sewage system. Pumps will not clog with the vortex design and large free flow passage.”

The pump specialists are working with public health consultant and building services contractor to supply wastewater and sewage lifting stations for numerous wards throughout the hospital.
