Reading in the Gazette of the decision to extend the mayor's term for another year, I also read in the same article that emergency powers enable the council to meet virtually.
I do hope that the council returns to normal meetings, with social distancing, as soon as possible.
MPs are being urged to return to normal meetings at Westminster in a bid to get the country back to some form of normality, and to show the country that in expecting the schools to reopen the government is not taking up the stance of "do as I tell you, not as I do"!
The council must take that stance seriously, and not begin to pronounce rulings or opinions that expect persons to recommence activities in closer distances and circumstances, all be it at a social distance, while conducting their own affairs remotely.
It should be "follow our example" instead of "do as I tell you, not as we do"!
