A WOMAN from Brighton Hill has been accused of beating a nurse at Basingstoke hospital during the coronavirus pandemic.

Keira Macintosh, of Copland Close, is accused of assaulting a ward sister at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital on May 20, whilst she is also accused of assaulting another three members of hospital security.

The case has been adjourned because of coronavirus, with the case next being mentioned on July 2. Miss Macintosh is not required to attend.

The 20-year-old has not yet indicated how she will plea.

She has been released on conditional bail, on the condition that she lives and sleeps each night at her address in Brighton Hill.

A MAN has been sent to prison for four weeks after he pleaded guilty to kicking a police officer.

Frank Anthony Cronin, of Canadian Way, Rooksdown, was given no order for compensation or costs, due to the prison sentence.

District Judge Anthony Callaway found that the offence was serious enough to result in the imprisonment of the 28-year-old, because it involved kicking.

Cronin assaulted PC Tudge on May 20 in Basingstoke, and indicated a plea of guilty when appearing at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court last week.

A MAN has been remanded on conditional bail accused of assaulting two police officers and damaging an intercom at Basingstoke's Police Investigation Centre.

Grant Harris Sunderland, of Main Road, Littleton, near Winchester, appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court last week accused of assaulted PC Piotrowski and PC Dyson whilst resisting arrest on April 21.

He was then charged with damaging an intercom to an unknown value at Basingstoke police station on April 26.

Days later, on May 1, he allegedly assaulted a man in Southampton city centre.

Mr Sunderland has not indicated a plea, and his case has been adjourned, because of the coronavirus pandemic, until July 2. He is not required to attend.

In the mean time, he has been released on conditional bail.

He must not enter Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, "save in the case of a genuine emergency".

He is also required to live at an address in Fleet, and he must not contact, directly or indirectly, a witness, or go within 50 metres of the witness' address.

THE case of a man who has been accused of drink driving has been adjourned.

Joshua Raymond Pritchard, of Dunley Road near Whitchurch, is alleged to have been unfit to drive through drink on February 1, when he was behind the wheel of a Polaris Ranger on the A343 in Hurstbourne Tarrant.

The case has been adjourned until July 2, because of the coronavirus pandemic, and Mr Pritchard, who has not indicated how he will plea, is not required to attend.

A MAN from Reading is accused of driving without a licence or insurance in Basingstoke town centre earlier this year.

Josnhuss Ssebuliba, of Edgehill Street in Reading, was allegedly driving a Jaguar XF on Seal Road, near Festival Place, on January 5.

His case has been adjourned until July 2, because of the coronavirus pandemic. He is not required to attend.

The 22-year-old has not indicated how he intends to plead.

A MAN from Hook has been accused of beating another man at Basingstoke train station.

Jamie Patrick Leroy Theodore, of Pexalls Close, was alleged to have assaulted a man on December 1, whilst also using threatening or abusive words or behaviour. He has not indicated how he will plea, whilst his case will next be heard on July 2.
