A MAN from Surrey will plead guilty to assaulting seven people and two counts of criminal damage, a court has heard.

Chaz Michael Parker, of Earlswood Road in Redhill, is accused of assaulting two people and five police officers in Basingstoke on Wednesday, May 27.

He's also accused of damaging a window at Basingstoke railway station and a police van at Basingstoke Investigation Centre on the same day.

The 28-year-old indicated that he will plead guilty to the assault of one woman, PC Townrow, PS Stemp, PC Thomas, PCSO Thomas and PC Gaimster, whilst he did plead guilty at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Friday, May 29 to the two charges of criminal damage, as well as the assault of a woman.

He will appear at Winchester Crown Court on June 26.

 

A MAN from Kensington has been caught driving a Porsche at 95 miles per hour on the M3 at Basingstoke.

Barrie John Stephen was proved guilty by single justice procedure at Aldershot Magistrates' Court on Friday, May 29, after his Porsche Cayman S with personalised number plates was found exceeding the speed limit of 70 miles per hour at Junction 7.

The charges states that he was found doing this on February 3.

The 39-year-old was fined £440, and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £44, plus costs of £85.

He was also given six penalty points on his licence.

 

A SOUTHAMPTON man has been released on bail after allegedly breaching a restraining order.

Graeme Thomas Farr, of Alma Road in Southampton, is accused of attending Ilsley Road in Marnel Park on April 4 to attempt to talk to a woman. He was prohibited from doing so at West Hampshire Magistrates' Court on February 5.

He is also accused of sending a threatening message to a man in Hampshire on November 12, 2019.

Following his appearance at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Thursday, May 28, he has been released on unconditional bail until June 8, for the prosecution to review the case.

No plea has been entered.

 

A MAN has been given a suspended sentence after he pleaded guilty to spitting, punching and biting a woman in Basingstoke.

Christopher Douglas Hutton, of no fixed abode, admitted to the assault of the woman, whose name the Gazette has chosen not to publish, on May 21.

He was sentenced to eight weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months, by District Judge Timothy Pattinson because the offence was so serious.

This was because of the domestic setting, as well as the fact he was under the influence of alcohol.

However, previous offences in respect of the same complainant were suspended because the defendant was adjudged to have been doing well on his community order.

The 40-year-old was had already spent a week in custody by the time he appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on May 28, where he was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £128.

He was not asked to pay costs because of a lack of means.

 

A BASINGSTOKE man has been released on conditional bail after being accused of assaulting a woman in Odiham.

Nicholas George Freeman, of no fixed abode, is accused of assault by beating on January 6.

He has been bailed until July 9, but must not contact the complainant or enter the road of her address, except with a police officer.

The 48-year-old has not yet entered a plea.

 

A TEENAGER from Brighton Hill has been accused of robbing an Xbox from another man.

Bobby Jay Lawrence, of Dankworth Road, is alleged to have taken the console and accessories from the complainant on January 5.

He has been released on conditional bail until June 24, and must not contact the complainant or enter the road of her address. He has not entered a plea.
