THE Romsey Show has announced it has found a way for horses to be part of this year’s event, despite the complications of coronavirus.

The annual event, which will move within Broadlands Park this year nearer to Romsey Rapids, is scheduled to go ahead on September 11 after cancellation in 2020.

Organisers have decided to include a horse show in a single display ring, with a focus on jumping.

Some competitions should go ahead as usual, including the training stakes, which is open to all horses and ponies four-years-old and over, as well as the team relay, dubbed the “fun class”. Some eventing will also take place.

The show’s main ring will not be in place this year but organisers have vowed to cut the cost of tickets.
