WINCHESTER Rugby Club is hosting a charity lunch in memory of a former member who died last year.

The lunch will be on Saturday March 23 at the ground in Abbotts Barton from Noon.

proceeds will go to Winchester Hospice Appeal to commemorate the life of club member, ex-player and coach, Adie Mort who sadly passed away last year.

The lunch is an open event and everyone is welcome to attend to join members, sponsors and members of Adie’s family.

It is before the first team’s top of the table clash with Warlingham, kicking off at 2.30pm.

The cost of the two-course lunch prepared by in house caterers followed by cheese and biscuits and coffee is £18 per head.

Club chairman Steve Barrow said: “The lunch is about the celebration of Adie’s life, a good friend and loyal rugby club member, with the opportunity to contribute to such a worthy cause”.

The rugby club bar opens at noon and sit down will be at 12.30pm.
