Wherwell v Compton and Chandlers Ford III.
Wherwell were asked to field first on what was a very hot afternoon, with the effective opening partnership of Nathan Young and Mark Pettman taking six wickets between them.
Both bowled their 12 overs through, Pettman finishing with 4-30. Wickets were falling at regular intervals and they reached a modest 120 all out. Wherwell's inform batsmen Ian Whyton came out looking to guide his team home and so he did getting most of the runs required with a superb 82 not out, a comfortable win for Wherwell.
Wherwell Sunday v Esso Fawley.
Winning the toss, Wherwell batted and a good opening partnership of 82 came, with R Young being the main contributor with 56 and 30 from A McGlashan and very helpful 39 from J Spackman in the middle order.
Wherwell reached 184 all out with only an over spare. Esso Fawley came with a young side but with a lot of potential, but the total just proved a bit too much for them reaching 113 all out.
Notable bowling from Mark Pettman 3-18 ensured that the perfect Sunday record continued.
