Wherwell v Broughton.

After losing the toss Wherwell were put in on what looked liked a damp wicket but which was almost certain to dry out throughout the afternoon.

They began well with a few players making starts and Nathan Young held the innings together with 64 not out and helped his team to 206-8 off their 42 overs. After tea Broughton got off to the worse start losing two wickets in the opening two overs and never really recovered.

They disappointedly fell well short falling all out for just 63. Pick of the bowlers for Wherwell were Young with 3-14 and Craig Beckingham 4-7 off 2.3 overs which included a hat-trick with the last three wickets of the day.

A convincing victory for Wherwell as they begin to move up the table.

Wherwell Sunday v Colden Com Sunday.

Probably Wherwell Sunday side's toughest challenge yet against unbeaten Common.

Again Wherwell lost the toss and were ask to field on a very hot afternoon. Colden Common got off to a flyer and it was looking like a tiring one for Wherwell, but the break through was made when Richard Rowles (3-32) bowled the opening batsmen after they had put on 141 Wickets then came at regular intervals but a challenging total was set with Colden Common finishing on 229-5 off 40 overs. Tea was taken after which Wherwell came out looking to protect their unbeaten run this year and so it proved. A great chase was achieved with the main contributors Ryan Young 68 not out and his brother Nathan 62, as the Wherwell Sunday side kept up their winning run
