ANDOVER based International grand prix dressage rider, Liz Diegutis who is hoping to ride in the Tokyo Olympics produced a stunning seventh place at the National Dressage Championships at Stoneleigh.

Diegutis and her horse Saskia Hit (Princess) were in a field of 20 competitors challenging for the honours.

Diegutis bred, backed, and trained Princess herself and last year returned from a four year period in Germany, where she gained a thorough knowledge of international competition and development.

2017 has been the first full year of Grand Prix competition for the Andover rider and Princess and to be selected to attend the Championships was a dream come true.

The best of the best were competing and the pair had a mountain to climb.

However, they both rose to the challenge and achieved a stunning seventh place which qualified the pair for the Kur (dressage to music) on the final day.

Once again the pair came up trumps and achieved a ninth place.

Diegutis has another beautiful talented mare Ruby, who she has trained to Grand Prix level and both horses will be challenging for honours for the new season.

She is building a formidable team with her partner Stuart Lark, and they are hoping they will go from strength to strength for the new season .

In the past the Andover rider has represented Great Britain in European Championships at Junior and Young Rider level and had a place on the training squad as a long listed rider for the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

She is now focused towards a place at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, but to have funds of building a successful international team they are looking for sponsorship.

Anyone who is interest can contact Diegutis by email on

In return for sponsorship the Andover is happy to display adverts on the back of my horsebox.

She is also happy to wear clothing with company names/brands on them.

The rider will also mention /tag names/brands on my social media page Liz Diegutis Dressage.

They can also come and watch me train, compete and experience the horse world and the horses.

Diegutis' competition plans are high profile shows in the winter and internationals but having financial support is what can help with the costs of international shows.
