A BRACE from Callum Sweeney and single from Shane Lock saw Andover New Street move up to second in the Wessex League Division One, after they beat visting promotion rivals Romsey Town 3-2.

This Saturday, New Street are on their travels to Downton.

Whitchurch found new leaders Tadley Calleva too hot to handle, as they lost at home to them 5-1.

The game was over by half-time, as the Jam Boys conceded five times.

Whitchurch scored the only goal of the second half from Taurean Manders and now are not in action until Saturday January 6, when they are away at Verwood.
