LONGPARISH slumped to an unlikely seven wicket away defeat at Hursley Park in the Hampshire League County Division One

Tom Burns and the Mahesh Kejandran the principle tormentors with the ball as Longparish were dismissed for 102 in the 29th over, with Scott Sturt their top scorer with 22 and William Samways made 17.

In reply, Chris Clarke bagged the key wicket of Paul Marks early in the piece but a 68 ball 33 from Gary Storey and a 78 ball 37 from Scott Hills saw Hursley Park past the post with seven wickets remaining.

Longparish will look to return to winning ways this Saturday, when leaders Hythe and Dibden are the visitors.

Longparish II recorded a welcome win at home to Old Basing II in the County Four North.

Justin Jackman hit 37 and George Halfhide 34 as Longparish were dismissed for 195 a target that Old Basing II failed to achieve by five runs with Barry Blackmore and Sam Trinder taking three wickets each.
