STOCKBRIDGE surrendered their unbeaten Hampshire Premier League record, but so nearly shared the spoils as they came back from 3-0 to defending champions Paulsgrove, losing just 3-2.

After a goal less first 45 minutes, the home side found themselves three down after 65 minutes.

With 10 minutes left an own goal gave the Stockbridge hope and then three minutes later Liam Dufall set up a grandstand finish.

On Saturday, Stockbridge are at home to Hayling United and then on Monday, Colden Common are the visitors.

Overton United returned to winning ways on Saturday with a 2-0 victory over at Hayling.

The visitors started the game well, as they knew Hayling would be a difficult test.

Overton took the lead after about 20 minutes, through Craig Barker's overhead kick.

From then the visitors were in control of the game and the better side throughout with Craig Atkinson their goalkeeper, not really being troubled apart from claiming crosses.

In the second half, the visitors made sure of the points with eight minutes to go, as Ben Dillon scored from 25 yards out.

Last Wednesday, the side went down 2-0 down at Winchester Castle, as the home side scored twice before the interval.

After the break, sub Ross Cook won a penalty, but it was saved.

Overton have no game on Saturday, but are back in action on Monday, when they travel to mid table Liphook.
