ANDOVER'S Moto3 champion Jake Archer is hoping to sign off his season in style at Brands Hatch this weekend, writes JEREMY RYAN.
The final round of the Hel Performance British Motostar Championship takes place at the famous Brands Hatch GP circuit this weekend.
It will also be the venue for Team City Lifting to celebrate Jake Archers Moto3 Championship title properly, which he won at the last round at Oulton Park.
Archer said: "I’m going out to fight for a podium and hopefully the win. I’m not relaxing because the title is won. It’s a team effort.
"The people in Team City Lifting work hard to give me the best bike they can each week so I owe it not just to myself and my sponsors but to the team to do my best.”
This will be the second time the series has raced the GP circuit this season. At the end of July, Archer qualified on pole position, won both races and set the fastest lap in the second.
Archer added: "I like the GP circuit at Brands Hatch. I have always gone well at the circuit and had two great results there in July. I’m not taking anything for granted though because there are two riders still fighting for second place in the championship, including my team mate.”
The race at Brands Hatch will bring a close to the nine-round championship of 18 races that started back in April.
