BASINGSTOKE Town booked their place in the last four of the Hampshire Senior Cup after they won at Fareham 7-0 on Tuesday night
The visitors got off to a great start and took the lead after five minutes from Ben Wright and inside 10 minutes they were 2-0 up as Jim Orvis and Wright combined for Sam Deadfield to score.
Town continued to dominate without adding to the scoreline before the interval.
Goal number three came after 54 minutes as sub Alex Shean was the provider for Wright to score his second.
Just after the hour mark, Sam Smart makes it 4-0 and then sub Zidane Akers takes Town's tally to five.
On 79 minutes an Orvis shot is cleared straight to Dean Stow to volley home and two minutes from time Smart nets Akers rebound.
New signing Tom McGill in his second game for the club kept a clean sheet.
Next for Town is a trip to Merthyr in the league on Saturday, but they will be minus suspended Sam Argent and have injury doubts on Harry Pearse, Charlie Kennedy and Rob Gerrard.
Town boss Martin Kuhl said: "I was really pleased with the performance on Tuesday night and I hope we can take this into the weekend."
