AFTER his positive start at Silverstone in the opening round of the British GP2 category of the British Superbikes series, Andover ace Jake Archer is looking to continue his progress with the Moto2 machine this coming weekend at Oulton Park.

With his winter testing programme cut dramatically short after a collarbone injury Archer is still getting to grips with the much larger and more powerful bike.

Last time out at Silverstone he struggled with front end feeling.

He still managed to finish close to the top 20 and crossed the line with a fifth and sixth in his class.

With more time on the bike and some adjustments he is confident the results will come.

The Kovara Projects by RS Racing rider has been boosted by two new sponsors as Griffin Cleaning Southern Limited and Four Ways Property Maintenance come on board for the 2019 season.

The action at Oulton Park gets underway on Saturday finishing on the Bank Holiday Monday.
