ANDOVER Robins won the Andover Memorial Cup final as they beat Tidworth Town 4-2 which was held at Andover Town's Portway Stadium, writes JOHN BOULTON.

The competition open to all Andover and District Sunday League sides saw the Robins start as underdogs against a Tidworth team under manager Nathan Frank, who had won the Division One title, without loosing a single game, this included beating their final opponents twice managed by Dan Stead.

It was the Robins who scored first after a brilliant free-kick scored by Jazz Beavis from just outside the penalty area.

Dean Ellis levelled things for Tidworth, but Zach Neve gave the Robins the lead again before the break.

Ellis tied the game up again from the penalty spot.

However, Neve scored twice more to complete his hat-trick and make sure of the 4-2 win.

The man of the match for the game went to Beavis.

In the Kelvin Cup final Tidworth Town lost to Winchester's Mucky Duck 2-1 after extra time, writes TONY SPENCER.

After 15 minutes Tidworth won penalty after Ellis was fouled in the box but the kick was saved onto the post and away.

On 19 minutes a shot had the Tidworth goalkeeper a full stretch to parry and 10 minutes later Strange had to clear off Mucky Duck's line.

It was Tidworth that took the lead before the interval, when Rob Owen chipped the goalkeeper.

In the second half Tidworth should have doubled their lead early after a one-on-one with the goalkeeper but the open goal was shunned by a woeful finish.

That miss was regretted on the hour mark when Sam Daunter equalised with a header for Mucky Duck.

Tidworth had a couple of chances, but it remained 1-1 after 90 minutes.

Mucky Duck got the winner in extra time 2-1 and their man of the match went to their number five Simon Daunter.
