KJM Group Ltd-sponsored Wherwell CC lost the toss and were put out to bat by Ashford Hill CC on Saturday.
Skipper R Skeates set the standard early on with an excellent knock of 45, looking in promising form for the season.
But it was M Cutts who was the star of the show, scoring an outstanding 126 and notching a more than 150 run partnership with A Gladwyn (71*).
Wherwell finished off their innings scoring 315, losing just four wickets.
Ashford Hill had such a tall order to meet and two strong stints from Wherwell bowlers put pay to their hopes.
S Turner just missed out a five-for, finishing with 4-34 while yet another outstanding stint from N Young (3-21) meant his fine start to the season continued.
Unstoppable R Gladwyn (2-9) also shone as Wherwell finished off winning by 164.
Wherwell next play at Basingstoke & North Hants IV.
