ANDOVER New Street earned bragging rights over their near neighbours Andover Town with a 2-1 win when the pair meet in the Wessex League Division One on Tuesday night. at Foxcotte Park
Callum Sweeney and Jake Curtis were the men on target for the victors while Zac Hine netted for the visitors.
The result was a far cry from when these sides last met in a competitive match at Foxcotte in a Wessex League Cup clash, which Town won 9-0, but that was back in November 2015.
This Saturday, seventh placed New Street away at fourth placed Alton, while Town, who are 14th entertain leaders Hythe and Dibden.
On Tuesday night in the first round of the Russell Cotes Cup, New Street are at home to Brockenhurst, while Town travel to Petersfield Town.
