ANDOVER boy Harry Hickton is in pole position to win this year’s Junior Saloon Car Championship (JSCC) after winning six out of seven races.

The championship has now completed three meetings – Silverstone, Cadwell Park and Snetterton – and Harry has qualified on pole position for all seven races.

He won six out of the seven races and came second in the other.

Harry, who will turn 16 on June 1, is currently leading the championship by 47 points.

His next meeting is in Silverstone over the Jubilee weekend.

Harry, of Deacon Road in Kimpton, finished 13th among 32 drivers and third among the newcomers (rookies) in the last season.

A student of John Hanson School in Andover, Harry is writing his GCSEs now.

His dad David Hickton is a former racing driver who has won several honours.
