Chilbolton 2 Wallop Res 2.

Chilbolton got their season started with a well deserved 2-2 draw.

Wallop took the lead early on through a through a Jordan Wylie header but Chilbolton equalised shortly after through Robbie Floyd. Wallop took the lead again when ex-Chilbolton player Micky Clark set up Wylie for his second. Injuries then played a part with Wylie and Micky Clark getting knocks as Wallop came under the cosh. The second half saw both sides have attempts on goal but Oliver Southworth equalised for the home side late on.

Enham 1 Lee Filters 1.

After a strong start last week Lee Filters came up against a very organised Enham.

In a game of very few chances, Filters went behind in the first half and needed to dig deep and got their reward with Jim Mellor scoring his second of the season.

There was little between the teams but in the final moments Filters had an effort cleared off the line and but for a brilliant save by the Enham keeper they may have claimed all three points.

Filters’ man of the match was Matt Woodman Pharmasol 2 Barton Stacey 1.

Pre season these sides had played out a tight 3-3 draw and for much of this game the sides remained on level terms.

Barton Stacey’s Gary Nowell had a couple of chances to break the deadlock before Pharmasol’s Alex Gladwyn broke through in the 70th minute to score. A second soon followed from Gladwyn as Barton Stacey pushed on then new signing Nic Turpin pulled a goal back late in the game as a much improved Pharmasol recorded their first win of the season.

Pharmasol man of the match was split between Gladwyn and Kevin Kidd.
