REGARDING the letter in the Andover Advertiser of August 10 (Research request from Andover History and Archaeology Society on Edith Howard photographs).
She had retired to Bournemouth and the business was taken over by Ralph Page.
She had a sister called Maud Heaps who was manageress of Gallaghers Florist who I worked with.
They had two or three brothers and I think another sister called Hetty.
The family were brought up in the flat above ‘Howards the Photographers’ shop.
There are some family graves in the old Andover cemetery near to the old chapel, which is now an art studio Edith had an assistant called Mr Harris whose daughter June used to live in Old Winton Road.
